The Walkable Network is an initiative of the Johannesburg Inner City Partnership (JICP), aimed at improving walkability along streets and in other public places through pedestrianisation, public art, street furniture, lighting, landscaping, signs, safety and cleanliness interventions through partnerships with public, private and civil society stakeholders from the property, design, security, waste management, academic and food production sectors.
