The Johannesburg Inner City Partnership (JICP) invites qualified contractors to submit proposals for the removal of Invasive Alien Plants (AIPs) and riparian rehabilitation under the SUNCASA Project in the Upper Jukskei River catchment.
Key Dates:
Expression of Interest Deadline: 16 May 2025
Compulsory Site Briefing: 21 May 2025 (by invitation only)
Proposal Submission Deadline: 30 May 2025
Project Duration: June 2025 – March 2026
Scope Includes:
- Removal of invasive plant species using manual, mechanical, and/or chemical methods
- Rehabilitation through indigenous seeding and vegetation restoration
- Erosion control and responsible biomass disposal
- Local labour sourcing and community engagement
Proposal Requirements:
- Demonstrated experience in similar AIP projects
- Relevant certifications (e.g., herbicide application, OHS compliance, AIP identification)
- Compliance with NEMBA and 2020 AIP regulations
- Detailed technical and financial proposals
