The South African Institute of International Affairs, in partnership with The Next Movement Mural Competition, invites participants to a sketching workshop.
This virtual workshop will be hosted by award-winning cartoonist and Editor in Chief of the Cartoon Movement Tjeerd Royaards, professional cartoonist, Emanuele del Rosso (an Italian cartoonist based in The Netherlands) and representatives from the Next Movement.
Participants will brainstorm about their wishes and ideas for the future and will learn how cartooning can be used as a tool to discuss the issues we face as a society.
All participants will learn about the power of cartoons and how to transfer an idea into a sketch. No artistic experience is required, as you don’t have to be a master artist, cartoons are all about an idea!
