SA Cities Network is looking for Good Hood Stories about a project, development or initiative that has made you proud to call yourself a resident of your city.
“Good Hood Stories: finding inspiration in my city
South African cities are places full of creativity, collaboration, and initiative. Too often we focus on the negativity and we lose sight of how inspiring our cities are and the good work that is being done by all sectors of society. Through the Good Hood Stories, we want to hear from you, what project, development or initiative has made you proud to call yourself a resident of your city? We want to celebrate with you, what’s good in your hood!
Entries should demonstrate one of the following:
• Creative and innovative practice
• Strong and decisive leadership
• Collaboration or partnership with civil society
Submitted stories will form part of our campaign exhibition which will be shared in January 2021. Four of the most interesting Good Hood Stories will be selected as finalists to form part of a case-study analysis. Each case-study will take a deep dive into the learnings from the Good Hood story through video interviews and a poster series so that lessons can be shared for future practice in other cities. Finalists chosen for the case study will receive an honorarium for their participation.”
Deadline for submission is 11 December 2020.
