September is Tourism Month and Heritage Month and what better way to celebrate than being a tourist in your own City.
There are a number of guided tours available across the City of Joburg. The JICP has put together a list here.
Tours range from walking to skateboarding or cycling; public art and shopping; food from across the continent; urban agriculture; and generally experiencing the city in an authentic way.
As part of Heritage Weekend on 15 & 16 September, the Johannesburg Heritage Foundation is conducting walking and bus tours; talks and museum visits; a book and map sale and teas and lunch hosted at Emoyeni in Parktown.
