On Sunday 22 March Johannesburg In Your Pocket and local photographers Anton Bosman and Clare Appleyard host the Jozi Takeover, a huge photo walk through the streets of Joburg CBD.
The aim is to assemble a record breaking crowd.
The walk begins at Urbanologi & Mad Giant brewery at the 1 Fox Precinct and traverses the historic Main Street Mining District stopping at heritage buildings including Rand Club and Thunder Walker on Gandhi Square. This is a free photography walk and is open to everyone, whether you are a professional photographer, a casual instagrammer or just a curious person who wants to explore the city as part of a larger group.
The walk starts at 15:30 at 1 Fox Precinct in Ferreirasdorp, where there is a secure paid car park. The event is free although guests are requested to please RSVP online so the organisers can get a clear idea of numbers.
