Community upliftment through a focus on human rights, democracy and reconciliation. Participants will focus on maintenance, cleaning and beautification of the Constitution Hill precinct and surrounding Health precinct.
The total requirement is a complement of 50 participants in the following categories:
• Creative placemaking projects within the precinct and improving the surroundings through urban design interventions including maintenance and upkeep of heritage spaces;
• Greening and environment – Cleaning and maintaining the streets (removing posters, unclogging drains, weeding etc.) Maintenance of gardens within and surrounding the precinct;
• Community and Public Art – e.g. murals; mosaics and other creative projects that could provide a source of ongoing income for participants after the project.
In addition, Constitution Hill will work with other SEF Partners on activations within the ConHill precinct, involving the youth in activities and public space activations.
Constitution Hill chose not to participate in Round 2 and has rejoined the programme in Round 3.
