For Constitution Hill, the Social Employment Fund provides an opportunity for previously unemployed members of their community to become more employable.
A large part of the SEF programme is teaching participants new skills.
Apart from specific landscaping skills, such as handling poison and equipment, participants are also learning to work as a team and are being taught how to write a CV. Participants are also participating in mock interviews.
In addition, participants are also being trained to become the trainers, in order to impart their learnings to new participants who join the programme at a later stage.
