Sport for Social Change Network

The Sport for Social Change Network is utilising the Social Employment Fund to recruit 100 coaches to teach various sports to youth in schools.

The after-school sessions provide a safe space for the youth and expose them to sports they have never tried before, such as skateboarding.

By taking part in sporting activities such as boxing, squash and racketball,  participants are not only having fun and doing physical exercise, but they are also learning about teamwork and discipline.

Chess and life skills such as preparing healthy meals for an active lifestyle are also being taught.

For the coaches that are being employed to teach these sports, this opportunity is providing dignity and for some their first-ever work opportunity.
